Sometimes called the Pearl of Scotland, Saint Margaret saw Christ in everyone, the poor, sick and in each other.
Her undying love and goodness were shown through the greatness of God’s Love. Her ability to comfort those in need was much like that of a loving mother. Our mission statement at St. Margaret of Scotland reflects the spiritually of our patron saint.
Our Mission:
To be a Christ-centered, mission minded community-embracing all people across the spectrum of cultural, ethnic, racial, gender, sexual orientation, ages and class diversity as full members of the family of God.
The Collect of St. Margaret of Scotland is…
O God, you gave to your servant Margaret such faithfulness as Queen of Scotland that she cared for the poor and relieved the needs of those who lay in prison. Grant us a like devotion, whatever the service to which you call us, that we may be agents of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. AmenThe essence of the Mission Work at St. Margaret of Scotland which reaches out locally and to the wider community stems from this collect.
